Agility Class Information  Our Students

Agility is indeed the ultimate dog sport and the fastest growing dog sport in the Nation. My exposure to the sport began in 1993 when Stuart Mah said if we could get 5 dogs together, he would start a class. One class became many as the sport rapidly increased in popularity. Agility training centers sprang up just as quickly as the sport grew in popularity. The number of dogs competing went from  50-70  to 300+ at each trial. It took me two years of training before I was brave enough to remove leash and collar to run my stud dog "naked". After much coaxing, I attended my first trial with several fellow students. Having never even been to a trial to watch, we were totally clueless! However, we were very surprised and found agility competition a refreshing change. There was no need to "dress up", the atmosphere was casual and relaxed and the trial committee and exhibitors were friendly and helpful. Even more important (despite the pre-run nerves) we had fun! My runs were less than spectacular but I was immediately addicted to the sport. I am currently competing with dogs number 6 and 7, grand children of my first agility dog "Otto", and instructing classes as well. Please enjoy the photographs of Firecreek dogs in action and our agility class information as well as the links to other agility sites.
